So, Meg is starting a blog and we're talking about blogging and also my trip to South Africa.
Here's an example of a link.
Here's an example of how to add a photo.
i really like this post from tara hunt about mojo. nice reference too to evelyn rodriguez's slow marketing. i need to drink the kool-aid on that one.
especially since all i want to do is register immediately for this conference, and then convince lisa stone to let me work the registration table. i love schmoozing so much it's scary. plus it would give me an excuse to make my yearly pilgrimage here for cut and color. lisa, i swear i would have my shit together this time and know who the CEO of blogher is before analyzing her conference with her for AN HOUR by the pool.
maybe i should save my pennies and think about this instead. but that would be scamming two trips to ny in one month if i count my trip with meryl. hmmm.... that's a lot of ribbon for one girl to carry home. especially in light of this recent project.
also, since this is my tech blog, i would like to say that i can barely move today from boxing dave on nick and jess's wii.
must go kick the kids off the ps2 so i can get ready to kick dave's butt on ddr tonight.
enough for an entire weekend

Josh, as I should have known, already knew the answer to my question here.
I am addicted.
Doesn't that sound nice? You'd go to your RSS feed and there'd be a list of blogfeeds set aside based on what's in your feed already. Or what about a Netflix type recommendation service where you give a recommended blog a thumbs up or thumbs down and whatever results you give help the service offer you better recs in the future.
Does something like this exist?

i'm too sad for words.

That would be me (blushing).
I gave a talk a few weeks ago for a group of post-digital age newcomers (read: 45-65yo) about how blogging can expand your opportunities to share life experiences and wisdom. The group was delightful and one of the attendees invited me to give a similar talk tonight to a support group of caregivers focusing on Alzheimer's. I was happy to say yes!
I'll be talking about how blogs are changing the ways people are able to support one another through all kinds of major life events. I'll tell stories about my own experience as someone who has been able to offer support in tangible ways as well as receive help from a warm (and wide) blogging community. Feel free to join us tonight at 7PM here.
Here's my running list of blogs for people particularly interested in the experience of providing care for loved ones with Alzheimer's and/or dementia. Please feel free to add others!
The Alzheimer Scarer A woman from New Zealand illuminates the caregiver experience.
The Yellow Wallpaper A beautiful account of mother-daughter connection, dying, Alzheimer's
